SYFA/DDYFA Update

After todays announcement from the SYFA board, the DDYFA are allowing any 7 aside or 9 aside team to organize friendlies between themselves, in DECEMBER - last date for any 7s or 9s friendlies will be 20th December.

Obviously teams are still to follow the government tier system, that is - no team can play tier 3 v tier 2 etc.

Permits are from Jim Falconer - texts are welcome, with team sheets still to be returned in the usual manner.

The last listed fixture will be 29th November 2020


Return of league fixtures is proposed for Sunday 7th March 2021 - all going to plan.

Once teams are fully registered with the SYFA and DDYFA, teams can then start to sign players.

Registrations finish at the end of December (not 2009 age group)

FOR 2021 Season

2012s - start 1st season of 7 aside.

7 aside application to be submitted after December 2020, inc DDYFA fees. Along with SYFA registrations.


2011s - start second season of 7 aside.

7 aside application to be submitted after December 2020, inc DDYFA fees. Along with SYFA registrations.

2010s - start 7 aside until August then move to 9 aside.


7 aside application to be submitted after December 2020, inc DDYFA fees. 9 aside application due (not before June 2021, no fees due) along with SYFA registrations.


2009s - Re-start 9 side until sometime in June (date tbc)

Applications carry on through the winter break, no players need resigned prior to March 2021, players will still be registered to each club until 11 aside season opens for registration. SYFA registrations also carry through.
